Nigeria

Spring 2015

Over the past few months, Boko Haram, an Al qaeda funded militant group, has been marching through Nigeria and killing thousands of innocent men, women, and children along the way. Their violent campaign of rape, kidnappings, and mass murder have left parts of Nigeria in ruins.

The GMF took it upon themselves to start a new campaign in the Spring of 2015 aimed at funding loans to struggling entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

During a presentation in front of the student body of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, the GMF asked for the support of the Fenwick community in funding these loans. After just two days of fundraising, $760 was raised in the form of pocket change and a few dollars here and there.

Below is the video that was shown explaining the campaign.
